Schering-Plough Canada Inc., the distributor of AERIUS® products in Canada (hereinafter referred to as " Schering ", " we " or " us " ) respects the privacy of your personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy ("Policy ") covers only those activities that are subject to the provisions of Canada's federal and provincial privacy laws, as applicable. This Policy provides information about what personally identifiable information Schering collects, how we use that information and also provides direction on what to do if you do not want your personally identifiable information collected or shared when you visit www.AERIUS®.ca, contact Schering or respond to our advertisements, contests or promotions.
What information will Schering collect?
Schering will not collect any personally identifiable information from you (such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address) unless you provide it to us voluntarily, for example, when you participate in a survey or enter one of Schering's promotional contests. In some cases, we may collect non-personally identifiable information about you on-line. Examples of this type of information include the type of Internet Browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are using and the domain name of the web site from which you linked to our web site, advertisement or promotion.
How will Schering use and disclose your personally identifiable information?
We recognize that by providing us with personally identifiable information, you are demonstrating your trust in our company and our brands and we take that trust very seriously. We collect and use this information to better understand your needs and ways in which we can improve our products, services and websites and to send product information and special offers from Schering and its affiliated companies and marketing partners that we think may be of interest to you. How will Schering protect your personally identifiable information?
We employ administrative, technological and procedural safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information. It is Schering's policy not to retain personally identifiable information longer than required for its intended purpose. Given that unencrypted electronically transmitted data is not entirely secure, we make no warranties as to the security of any information that you submit electronically, the submission of which is done at your own risk. Schering is not responsible for data collection and usage practices of companies or organizations to which our web site may provide links.
What if you do not want your personally identifiable information collected, used or disclosed?
Subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, you may change or withdraw your consent at any time by either: (i) following the procedures, where available, indicated at the point of collection to "opt out" so that your personally identifiable information is not collected; or (ii)where an "opt out" is not offered, do not submit personally identifiable information; or (iii) contacting our Privacy Officer in writing at the address indicated below. How may you access or correct your personally identifiable information?
Subject to certain restrictions, you may access and verify your personal information. When requesting access to your personal information, we may request specific information from you to enable us to confirm your identity and right to access, as well as to search for and provide the personal information that we hold about you. In some circumstances, information may not be accessed, for example, if access would reveal personally identifiable information of other persons, or if applicable law or regulatory requirements allow or require us to deny access.
"Cookies" - What information may be automatically stored on your computer?
When you view one of our web sites or online advertisements or promotions, we may store some information on your computer in the form of "cookies" or similar files. This information stored on your computer's hard drive does not contain any personally identifiable information, but enables us to communicate more meaningfully with you. These cookies also enable you to use our website more efficiently by storing your log-in information. What about children?
Schering has no intention of collecting personally identifiable information from individuals under thirteen (13) years of age. Where appropriate, we will specifically instruct children NOT to provide such information to us. If a child has provided us with personally identifiable information, we ask that a parent or guardian of the child contact us in writing at the address below and request that this information be deleted from our records. We will use reasonable efforts to delete the child's information from our existing files.

Except where required by law, Schering cannot ensure a response to questions or comments regarding topics unrelated to your personal information, to this Policy or its privacy practices.
Revisions and Interpretations
Schering reserves the right to modify or supplement this Policy at any time. We will post any revised versions of this Policy on this page so that you are aware of the information collected and its intended use and disclosure. Any changes to this Policy will be effective from the date they are posted. Your continued use of our website following the posting of any changes to this Privacy Statement shall constitute your acceptance of those changes.
